Byte Wise or Byte Foolish?
The cabling you see at the right originally cost a little less than the job shown above. However this savings was immediately eaten up by losses from system downtime. This was an active network with a little under a hundred users, each time the system went down, some or all of those users were completely unproductive. The network administrator had to drop her current task and troubleshoot this mess. After a year of this we were paid to re-design and replace the entire cabling system. We estimate the actual losses over the one year period to approach $175,000.00.
